Testimony of Salvation Donavan M. Bangs While I was in the US Air Force, stationed in Germany, I was a drunk. After a night of drinking, a man in my dormitory invited me to church.  Upon the offer of a home cooked meal afterwards I accepted.  This church was different from what I had experienced (the Roman Catholic church). I found I could actually understand what the preacher was saying.  I realized he was talking to me, the invitation was given, I felt God dealing with my heart.  I knew I had to go forward.  Halfway down the isle, I asked Jesus to save me, and mid-step I was transformed, from death unto life.  I knew that I was different, Jesus took my burdens away and filled my life with light, and I began my NEW LIFE in Christ, July twelfth nineteen ninety two at about twelve o’ clock.

My call to Christian service began about a month after my salvation.  But I still lacked stability in my Christian walk.  It was not until after a singles retreat, that I got in touch with my root problems, and dealt with them biblically.  Only then did I gain that stability and I answered God’s call to preach.

My hopes for Christian service are to preach Christ crucified to a lost and dying world.  To return to England as a full time missionary, with my wife and start a work there.  To let the people there know how to go to heaven.  Because I was once a boy there in England and the Catholic church there, did nothing but confuse me, and if I had died I would have gone to hell.
I don’t want another little child growing up that way. With Gods’ help the Gospel will be preached in Cambridge England ( my home town.)

I became a born-again Christian at the age of seven or eight.  I was at Hickham AFB, Honolulu, HI, in a neighborhool Bible Study.  During the bible study a lady asked who would like to invite Jesus into your heart. I lifted my hand and we went into the kitchen.  I believed that Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried and was resurrected on the third day, and I prayed to ask Jesus Christ to forgive me of my sins, and asked Him to be my Lord and Savior of my life.

I began my grounding in the bible and discipleship at 15 years old.  I was scripturally baptized at Universal City Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX.

I received God's Call into foreign missions at a mission conference in Dallas, TX, in December 1989.  

At Rheinland Baptist Church in Kindsbach, Germany, I met my husband, Donavan Bangs in May 1993.

In January 1994, Donavan and I went up to the altar to make our call from God public to go into the mission field to England. Donavan and I were married on August 20, 1994 at Rheinland Baptist Church. I will continue telling others how to trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
